Recent news stories covered on air

1.   We've followed Pompey on the road to Wembley as they play in their first FA Cup final since 1939. We've spoken to fans who queued up for tickets, the players, manager Harry Redknapp and Portsmouth City Council - who arranged for the match to be shown on a massive screen on Southsea Common. We also went around the city to find out how schools, businesses - and even fans who were at Pompey's last Cup final were backing their side. The news team also followed the fortunes of Southampton as they battled to stay in the Championship, managing it on the last day of the season.

2.   We've also been following the brutal murder of Hampshire pensioner Georgina Edmonds, who was beaten to death and tortured at her cottage in Brambridge back in January. Our reporter's had exclusive interviews with the detective leading the hunt for her killer, which is still ongoing.

3.  We were in Southampton to join the celebrations as the world's biggest and newest cruise ship, Independence of the Seas arrived in the city. Our reporter spoke to the ship's captain on the bridge of the ship, and toured the impressive features onboard including the ice rink, flowrider and theatre. The ship's followed the historic day when all three of Cunard's liners the QE2, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria all lined up together in their home port for the first and last time. We were there to speak to the massive crowd who gathered along Southampton's waterfront to see them - and get pictures for the website.
